Often I receive questions about training- how much, how long, do I have to? HA! Well, I've chosen a few questions to answer here.
Q: "If I do pushups everyday will my chest get bigger, faster?
A: "Wow that is dedication and I admire you for it! Well, you will for sure see results, however to make your chest bigger it is actually only necessary to work each muscle group (get this) twice a week for optimal growth."
Q: "I'm 35, how much exercise do I actually need in a week? I'm relatively young sooo..."
A: "Well, to be fit, adults need at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week. Pick 5 days out of the week, and get that heart rate up provided you are medically cleared by your health provider if you are under care for any conditions." Good luck!
Q: "Are all (personal) trainers created equal?"
A: "Great question! Well, we are all trained equally. However, some trainers tend to want you to focus on what she/he thinks you should do, not taking your goals into account. This is typically from lack of experience, not because they are no good. This is your time, your money and most important-your body. My advice is to interview trainers before making a choice. See who listens and makes your goals her/his goals. Good luck!"
